There are direct flights to Lisbon from England, France, Spain, USA and Canada operated by Portugal national airline, Air Portugal, TAP. There are regular train services from Spain and France. England, France and Spain operate direct buses to Portugal.
Flight travel inside the country is expensive when we take into account the short distances. Train travel is cheap but time consuming. There is an underground metro train service running in Lisbon. Numbers of private companies operate express services between major cities. They are quicker and easier. Taxi service is good and cheap also.
